noah-webster-2[1]Noah Webster (16 October 1758 – 28 May 1843) he was a lexicographer, author of texts, Bibles translator, text reformer, American writer and publisher. It was nicknamed the “Father of education and the American school”.

In addition to his dictionary, (Webster's Dictionary of the 1828, it contained more biblical definitions than any other) Webster published his translation of the Bible in 1833. By doing this translation, Webster used the King James version as a basis. He consulted Jews and Greeks through various other versions and commentaries. Webster converted King James into correct grammar, replacing the words that were no longer used, and eliminated those words and phrases that could be offensive.
