The signs of recent times

God placed Adam in a garden of delight, but that first man took the only forbidden fruit by disobeying God's order. So he was thrown out of Eden.

A few centuries later, the earth was full of violence and corruption (Genesis 6:5,11); men were so wicked that God had to destroy them with the flood. Only Noah and his family were spared.

Another centuries passed. The Jewish people, freed from Egypt by the hand of God, faith is a golden calf and said “O Israel, this is your god who brought you out of the land of Egypt” (Exodus 32:8).

In all times and in every place on earth, humanity has shown its moral decay and its refusal to obey the Creator. Just watch the news every day to realize what is happening before our eyes. Yet man does not realize it, he does not realize that all this is written and that man without God cannot do good. God says through a prophet: “The heart is more deceptive than anything else, and insanely evil; who will know him?” (Geremia 17:9-10).

But here is God, with a love that goes beyond our conception, send his own Son into this corrupt world. As it is written in the parable of Luca 20:13, He says “Perhaps they will respect Him” but what happened? They rejected him and sentenced him to death, just like it happens today with the sin of unbelief: they reject the Savior, they ignore it and assert that it is not God, and it's all nonsense. Already, because man's heart is irremediably corrupted to understand these spiritual things and to realize that we need to be saved!

Here is the grace of our God shines in all its splendor just when He is crucified. “He made the iniquity of us all fall upon him” (Isaiah 53:6). The judgment our sins deserved fell upon Him, and now forgiveness and eternal life are offered to all who repent and confess their misery.

But God, who is rich in mercy, for the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, he vivified us with Christ (Ephesians 2:4-5)

But let us not delude ourselves that he will like us even without true and sincere faith, let's not delude ourselves to say “I behave well anyway, He wants the good, in that case this God should really exist, I have done nothing wrong to be condemned”.

No, good works do not make us deserve salvation:

For by grace you have been saved, by fede; and that not of yourselves:; it is the gift of God. It is not by works, lest any man should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9)

... since we believe that man is justified by faith without the works of the law. (Romans 3:28)

And without faith it is impossible to be saved:

Now without faith it is impossible to please him; for whoever draws near to God must believe he is, and which rewards all who seek him. Jews 11:6

Or know this: difficult times will come in the last days; because men will be selfish, money lovers, boastful, gorgeous, determinants, rebellious to parents, ingrates, irreligion, insensitive, unfair, slanderers, intemperate, ruthless, without love for the good, traitors, reckless, proud, lovers of pleasure instead of God, having the appearance of piety, while they have denied its power. Turn away from them too! (2Timoteo 3:1-6)

When you will hear wars and rumors of wars, do not be upset; this needs to happen, but it won't be the end yet. For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom; there will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These things will be a beginning of pains.(Marco 13:7-8)

We have reached the final point, who can say that we are not in recent times? Jesus Christ will return to judge the unbelievers, not missing much. The Bible has signs for us to tell when his return is near. And just a little bit’ of discernment, it is enough to look around to realize that the faith has almost disappeared in the people, “all have given themselves to the philosophies of this world and to fables, no longer putting up with sound doctrine” (2Timoteo 4:3). Everyone is money-hungry and bad, they only think of material well-being, they are selfish, seedlings. Now everything that has to be considered sin has become normal on TV: gives nude, exaltation of sex and perversion, even in seemingly harmless programs and in prime time, moral approval of homosexual couples, etc. And we are also proud to be like that. Killings in the family, murders, sadistic assaults. The Christian faith is no longer there but universalism prevails: we are all saved! They say. And what's more, earthquakes have increased disproportionately, famines, massacres of all kinds!

We know the law is good, if one makes legitimate use of it; we also know that the law is made not for the just but for the iniquitous and the rebels, for the wicked and sinners, for the sacrilegious and the irreligious, for those who kill father and mother, for the murders, per i fornicatori, for sodomites, for slave traders, for liars, for perjuries and for everything else contrary to sound doctrine, according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, that he has entrusted to me. (1Timoteo 1:8-11)

You do not know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; born fornicatori, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, ne prostitutes, born sodomiti, nor thieves, nor stingy, nor drunk, nor abusers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you; but you have been washed, you have been sanctified, you have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1Corinthians 6:6-11)

I am ashamed of what the world and society have become. E’ it is really true that we are living in recent times, but people don't realize it. Everything is good nowadays, as long as it has the appearance of being the right thing. But who are we deciding what is right and what is not?

The greatest sin of men? The unforgivable one over which God does not pass over? The sin of unbelief, which carries with it all other sins as a consequence!
